Unwelcome Visitors

Dear Neighbours’

We appear to have been receiving some unwelcome visitors in three of our Trinity Fields Gardens .There is evidence that rats have been found.

A Rural Service Agent has now visited the gardens in question, and steps have been taken to eradicate the vermin humanely. This may require a number of visits.

However. we need to ensure that they are unable to breed across Trinity Fields.

The Environmental Agency highlights the following as reasons for sighting rats in the garden and we need to ensure they don’t have a supply of food and water .

1. Stop feeding wild birds and animals.

2.Keep the garden tidy and ensure all rubbish is kept securely .

3. Move things around

4. Block access to decking

5. Block access to garden buildings or any areas where they can live out of sight.

6. Protect your compost bin

7. Remove water sources (check for bite marks in hose pipes)

8. Check for burrows and droppings in your garden.

Please be vigilant and advise if you have any sightings. While Trinity Fields Management Company Ltd is responsible for the communal areas, your gardens are your responsibility and we can only advise.

The Company being used to carry out the investigation and removal of the vermin is        Sussex Rural Services:              Mel Hardacre         07539899080

Kind regards

Government Fuel Support

The following is taken from the Government’s Autumn Statement and the support is now £200 in addition to the energy support scheme of £400 .

Alternative fuel payments
The government will double the level of support for households that use alternative fuels, such as heating oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), coal, or biomass, to heat their homes to £200. This support will be delivered as soon as possible this winter. The government will provide this payment to all Northern Ireland households in recognition of the prevalence of alternative fuel usage in Northern Ireland. The government will also provide a fixed payment of £150 to all UK non-domestic consumers who are off the gas grid and use alternative fuels, with additional ‘top-up’ payments for large users of heating oil based on actual usage.
